ABOUT THE FIRM
I have been in private practice since 1990, the year I graduated from UNM School of Law. During that time, I won numerous awards and commendations. I am, or have been at times, a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, the Albuquerque Bar Association, the New Mexico Federal Bar, the American Bar Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, the U.S. Association of Lawyers with Disabilities, and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce, and have been listed in Martindale-Hubble.
I won a National Insurance Defense Lawyer's writing competition while in law school. My commendations include Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney of the Year from the Weekly Alibi, citations for my pro bono work from various judges, and the consumer law advocate award from Crosswinds.
My approach to law is highly personal. I enjoy working with people to resolve their legal problems efficiently and in a cost-effective way, with as little animosity between the parties as possible.
DISCOUNTS FOR HANDICAPPED, DISABLED, AND OTHER CATEGORIES
Having a disability myself, I am sensitive to the needs of others who also have disabilities. Many of my clients fall into that category. My office is completely handicapped accessible. I offer discounted prices to a number of groups: the disabled, the elderly, people living on fixed incomes like social security, single parents, low income, and active duty military.
